"Who Created God?" is a guided discussion group that explores many of the challenging and troublesome questions that are famously asked of people who ascribe to Christianity. We'll address topics like: "Does the Universe really need a Creator?", "Why would God allow Suffering and Evil?," and, of course, "If God created Everything, then Who Created God?"
The approach taken by Who Created God is to treat all things with a skeptical mindset. The participants are not Christians looking to re-confirm their own belief structures, but seekers of Truth pursuing the best possible explanation for the world we live in. The Truth will always be true, no matter what form of scrutiny we subject it to.
Our ultimate goal is to provide participants with a deeper and more meaningful understanding of the true nature of Faith, so that they might feel more equipped to discuss these kinds of questions with friends and family - regardless of their stance on them. It is open to anyone, no mater your present beliefs or level of confidence.
"Who Created God?" is currently being run at the Texas Wesley United Methodist Campus Ministry at the University of Texas at Austin.
Starting on September 10th, we will regularly meet on Tuesday Evenings from 7:00 - 9:00pm at the Wesley's new location at 2200 Nueces Street (the first floor of the Inspire building on the corner of 22nd and Nueces).
